Beautiful, large piece of amethyst, carved into a kite cut. This specimen of amethyst is pretty color zoned, as amethyst is common to do. There are all varieties of inclusions in the amethyst, as well, with some areas being much more included than others. Some portions of the pendant have almost perfect transparency, while other areas are translucent to almost opaque. There are a few hematite inclusions in the piece, as well as many fracture lines, so care must be taken with the piece. It appears that it may have had a repair to it already (the largest fracture through the center). Has nicks on the edges.
