J.J. Badollet & Co. - Antique Swiss Pocket Watch Movement - Functioning
A beautiful antique pocket watch movement by J.J. Badollet & Co. Made in Geneva, Switzerland around the turn of the 20th century.
Jean-Jacques Badollet born in 1850 was a high-end watchmaker from a family of watchmakers dating back to the 17th century. He would go on to win many awards and make movements for various watch companies.
This movement appears to have a white porcelain face in very good condition. Also has its winder knob which appears to be rolled gold. The gemstone movements are of ruby. The movement runs but unsure if all the functions are operational. Has its glass crystal. NOTE: Missing its hour hand.
Signed on the back plate: "J.J. Badollet & Co Geneve No. 38920" Also stamped with his lion mark.
Extra note: Comes in a box for an Everbrite Captain pocket watch, which also includes its original paperwork. There does not appear to be any connection between the watch movement and the box/paperwork.
