An an unframed original antique map made by the University of the State of New York in 1897. The map is entitled "Map of the State of New York Showing the Location of Quarries Used for Building and Road Metal" by Frederick J.H. Merrill, Director New York State Museum, Albany, N.Y. 1897. "Copyright 1895, Julius Bien & Company N.Y."
As stated in the title, the map depicts locations of different quarries and various areas of stone used for the use in buildings and roads. Very detailed map. In fairly good condition for its age but as seen in photos there are permanent crease marks from how the map has been folded. Some holes in paper at corners of folds.
