Beautiful thumbnail specimen of what appears to be a section of a geode. Tiny lustruous quartz crystals fill the cavity. The quartz crystals have a pinkish hue to them, almost like pink amethyst. The color appears to possibly be from hematite inclusions. On the side of the piece is a nicely formed calcite crystal peaking out. Incredibly important and renown locale for a variety of gemstones and lapidary work. The area has been pretty much exhausted of its resources at this point.
