A vintage French high end heavy sterling silver necklace with elephant tusk motif. The 'clasp' of the necklace is made from two solid heavy sterling silver pieces in the form of elephant tusks that interlock with one another. The 'tusks' are connected by an elastic lanyard that has been cut. The necklace originally was adorned with beads of ivory along the lanyard, which have been disposed of. The necklace is circa 1980.
The 'tusks' are about 2 3/4 x 3/4" each. The 'necklace' expands from about 12-18 inches.
