"Corpsmen Relax" is a lithograph based on a watercolor by David Stone Martin depicting wounded soldiers relaxing on stretchers. David Stone Martin (1913-1992) attended the Art Institute of Chicago and is best known for his illustrations on jazz album covers, including for Charlie Parker, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald, to name a few.
