Description

This thumbnail mineral specimen features tiny, elongated dioptase crystals perched on matrix, accompanied by colorless calcite crystals and a few bladed wulfenite crystals. The dioptase occurs as slender, prismatic crystals with sharp terminations, contrasting nicely with the clearer, more blocky calcite and the thin, tabular habit of the wulfenite.

The association represents a classic assemblage from Arizona’s oxidized copper-lead deposits, where secondary minerals crystallize in close proximity within fractures and small cavities. Despite its small size, the specimen shows distinct crystal forms and a pleasing multi-species composition that rewards close inspection under magnification.

This piece is well suited for collectors who appreciate fine crystal associations and thumbnail-scale specimens.
