Description
Very rare specimen of native copper 'pipe' amygdule still partially embedded in its host rock. The formation is created when gas escaping cooling lava leave behind a tunnel that the copper then fills, leaving behind the copper pipe amygdule. This twisting organic shape formed by the earth looks vaguely reminiscent of something out of the mind of Tim Burton. Very cool display piece.
NOTE: The host rock is a bit fractured and the copper is somewhat loose.
